As Bahçeşehir University, we took our place at TEKNOFEST 2026, held in Şanlıurfa from September 30 to October 4, 2026, with our science, technology, research, and entrepreneurship ecosystem. Throughout the five-day festival, we met with visitors at the festival grounds, provided information about Bahçeşehir University, and engaged in conversations with participants from different age groups.

BAUROV’s Award-Winning Underwater Robot Attracted Great Interest

One of the highlights at the BAU stand was the underwater robot developed by the BAUROV team.

During the festival, we provided visitors with information about the underwater robot, explaining how it works, its features, and what it can do underwater.

Visitors from different age groups, ranging from children and young people to families and technology and engineering enthusiasts, showed great interest in the robot. We answered questions at our stand and shared information about the robot to address visitors’ curiosity.

Another BAU Team Was Also at TEKNOFEST

One of the teams representing BAU at TEKNOFEST Şanlıurfa was the ATİK Air Defense Team.

The ATİK team, consisting of engineering students, competed on behalf of BAU in the TEKNOFEST Air Defense System Competition.

The robots developed by Bahçeşehir College students were also featured at the festival grounds.

Important Visits to the BAU Stand

Our Rector, Prof. Dr. Esra Hatipoğlu, visited the BAU stand, met with the students on the BAUROV team, and received information about the team’s work.

Elvan Kuzucu Hıdır, Chair of the Board of Directors of the T3 Foundation, also visited our stand at TEKNOFEST. During her visit, Elvan Kuzucu Hıdır met with students from Gaziantep Bahçeşehir College Science and Technology High School and listened to presentations about their award-winning projects. As part of the visit, a gift was presented to her on behalf of our Rectorate.

We Met with Visitors Throughout the Five Days

Throughout the festival, we engaged in conversations with visitors from different age groups, ranging from children and young people to families and technology and engineering enthusiasts, and provided information about Bahçeşehir University. We answered questions about how our engineering students work, how they develop robots, and BAUROV’s underwater robot.

The enjoyable conversations we had with visitors and the strong interest in technology throughout our five days in Şanlıurfa added value to our TEKNOFEST experience.
