Prof. Dr. Serdar Durdağı Receives the 2023 Turkey Academy of Sciences (TÜBA) International Academy Award!

Prof. Dr. Serdar Durdağı, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Bahçeşehir University, has been honored with the 2023 Turkey Academy of Sciences (TÜBA) International Academy Award in the “Health and Life Sciences” category.

He was recognized for his contributions to academia and the pharmaceutical industry through the development of new codes for creating ligand-based models using machine learning approaches. His work also involves the virtual screening of ultra-large molecular databases using these models and the design of new drug molecules. His notable contributions include the development of hERG1 3D potassium ion channel models, known in the literature as Durdagi/Noskov hERG1 K Models.
