As part of the “CourseGPT Workshop” held at Bahçeşehir University’s Faculty of Educational Sciences in collaboration with OpenAI, the Artificial Intelligence Competence Unit, and the Center for Learning and Teaching (CLT), 30 faculty members designed their own AI assistants that they could integrate into their courses.
In this hands-on training led by Dr. Sezin Eşfer Öndünç, Dr. Meltem Özmutlu, and Dr. Zeynep Cömert, participants explored the potential of artificial intelligence in creating effective, accessible, and inclusive learning environments through instructional design.
During the workshop, faculty members developed interactive and customizable GPT-based assistants tailored to the dynamics of their own courses using OpenAI infrastructure—producing tangible tools to support digital transformation in learning processes. In fact, this workshop marks the first step of a broader training series, with future sessions planned for each faculty so that all academic units of Bahçeşehir University can benefit from this experience.
