The international patent application entitled “An Airbag Apparatus”, filed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Çağlar Sivri, a faculty member of the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, has been officially granted and registered by the European Patent Office (EPO).

The patented invention relates to an innovative airbag mechanism developed to enhance in-vehicle safety during accidents. This mechanism ergonomically conforms to the geometry of the human body at the moment of impact, effectively absorbs the collision force, and significantly reduces the risk of injury and death.
