Within the scope of Future AI Summit 2026, the panels titled “Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education” and “Skills, Systems, and Building Trust for the Future” comprehensively addressed the impacts of artificial intelligence on the higher education ecosystem and the competencies required for the future digital world.

In the “Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education” panel, where BAU Research Dean and BAUTTO Director Dr. Nil Girgin Kalıp and Bahçeşehir University Board of Trustees Member Saygın Şenel participated as speakers, the transformation created by artificial intelligence in education, research, and university governance processes was evaluated.

In the panel, personalized learning experiences, increased efficiency in research processes, AI-supported academic production, and the new roles that higher education institutions will assume in the future were among the highlighted topics. In addition, the importance of positioning universities not only as consumers of technology but also as institutions that develop and produce technology was emphasized.

In the second panel of the event, titled “Skills, Systems, and Building Trust for the Future,” Dr. Nil Girgin Kalıp was joined by UBIT Artificial Intelligence Technical Lead Recep Doğa Siyli and Bahçeşehir University Faculty of Law Vice Dean Asst. Prof. Mert Nomer.

The panel addressed the development of new-generation skills needed in the age of artificial intelligence, the creation of reliable and resilient digital systems, the strengthening of ethical and legal frameworks, and the construction of trust-based digital ecosystems.
