The Spreading Science Awards is a prestigious and comprehensive award program aiming to enhance Turkey’s scientific capacity, support academic productivity, and encourage scientific studies focused on societal benefit. The 2025 edition will mark the fourth time the Spreading Science Awards have been held, taking place every two years.
The Spreading Science Awards were established to recognize and reward research that offers solutions to national issues, prioritizes public interest, and demonstrates scientific depth—based on universal scientific principles. This award program not only promotes individual achievement but also seeks to contribute to Turkey’s knowledge production, academic vision, and scientific future in the long term.
Application Requirements and Process
Applications for the awards in the fields of Social Sciences, Engineering, Natural and Health Sciences can be submitted by researchers and academics who hold at least a doctoral degree, or such individuals may be nominated by others. Direct applications are not accepted for the Grand Prize; nominations for this category can only be made by university rectors, presidents of chambers of commerce and industry, directors of technology development centers, and members of the Honorary Committee.
Nominations and applications will be accepted electronically through www.ilimyaymaodulleri.org between May 16 and July 31, 2025.
