At Bahçeşehir University, within the scope of the seminar titled “Are You Ready for Innovation? What is Your Next Big Idea?”, Ergün Kırlıkovalı, who is internationally recognized for his work in advanced polymer materials, met with academics and students.

The event began with Kırlıkovalı’s campus visit. Accompanied by the vice rector, rector’s advisor, the Science Communication Office, the Student Dean’s Office, and representatives of the Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences, Kırlıkovalı toured the BAU campus and received information about the university’s academic and research ecosystem. In the following meeting, Kırlıkovalı shared how he started his professional life, his career journey, and the experiences he gained throughout this process, engaging in a sincere, conversational interaction with the participants.

In the seminar held as part of the program, Kırlıkovalı shared his experiences in the development of polymer materials used in advanced technology projects, drawing attention to the multidimensional nature of innovation. He emphasized that innovation should not be limited only to product development, but should be addressed within a broad framework that also includes processes, business models, organizational structures, and social impact. The seminar was conducted in an interactive format with active participation from academics and students, proceeding through question-and-answer sessions. Participants created a multidimensional exchange of ideas by directly asking questions about the relationship between creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
