Our library has added the LeapSpace (ScienceDirect AI) platform to its collection in order to make academic research processes more efficient and reliable.

Developed by Elsevier for researchers, the AI-powered research workspace LeapSpace aims to accelerate literature review, source verification, and academic discovery processes. With its powerful infrastructure based on ScienceDirect and Scopus, the platform provides researchers with access to millions of peer-reviewed full-text contents and more than 100 million abstracts and metadata records.

Unlike general-purpose AI tools, LeapSpace places academic accuracy, transparency, and verifiability at its core. While generating its responses directly based on scientific sources, the system enables users to instantly verify the origin of information through “Trust Cards” and its linked reference structure.

Among the platform’s prominent features are a content generation model designed to reduce the risk of hallucinations, multi-step and comprehensive analyses with the “Deep Research” mode, discovery of funding and collaboration opportunities, and advanced reading tools such as Reading Assistant and Compare Experiments. In addition, users can upload their own documents to the platform and continue their research within a personalized context.

LeapSpace also prioritizes the security of user data, ensuring that data is processed in encrypted form and is not used to train AI models.

Our university aims to contribute to increasing scientific productivity by offering this powerful research assistant, which will bring a new dimension to research processes, to all academics and researchers.
